When the Wrigley family owned Catalina they bred Arabian horses at Rancho Escondido. There is now a small winery there.

The Airport in the Sky's single runway spans three hilltops at the very top of Catalina Island. It was built in 1941 by the Wrigley family for their own use. Is now open to the public, though currently there are no scheduled flights. Air freight comes in on DC-3's.

Formerly the Runway Cafe, the DC-3 Gifts and Grill at Catalina's Airport in the Sky. The food is as good as the view, and they will even deliver meals to backcountry campgrounds.
