Bodega Bay
Sonoma County California

Bodega Bay consists of a number of businesses along Highway One, a fishing boat harbor, and two well-known seafood restaurants built out over the water. The development at Bodega Harbor south of town features a number of rental houses, favored by my extended family for weekend retreats.

Bodega Bay was featured in Alfred Hitchcock's 1963 movie "The Birds", though the schoolhouse in the movie was really in the town of Bodega, a few miles inland. In the movie the gas station and adjacent Tides restaurant burned down, but that was actually special effects produced at Universal Studios.
