Hat Creek is fed from very cold and pure springs at the edge of the lava flows north of Mount Lassen. This is an exceptionally beautiful stream running through a lovely forest, world famous for its trout fishing. But don't plan on taking any home for dinner, most of this creek is reserved for catch-and-release fly fishing.
Subway Cave is a popular lava tube cave in the Hat Creek Lava Flow.
