Bolinas

Bolinas has character, and charm, and a good bit of orneriness also. Every time the county puts up a road sign pointing to Bolinas it mysteriously disappears. This has been going on for years.
Bolinas' downtown is two blocks long, in a sheltered little valley. Houses straggle on from there along the narrow road to the beach, and are scattered across the slopes to the north of town. Lots of artists and nonconformists of various stripes here.
