Virtual Guidebooks to
Montana

Many people think the best scenery to be found anywhere in the Rocky Mountains is in Glacier National Park. The rest of the western third of the state is dotted with high mountain ranges separated by wide open valleys and threaded together with beautiful rivers and streams. There is history here, too, some of it the traditional wild west cowboys and Indians sort, but also the gritty copper mining towns with capitalists pitted against labor. The rest of the state is high plains - truly the "big sky country".

The only guidebook so far covers Western Montana, featuring Glacier National Park. I will add another guidebook for the plains when I get a chance to explore east of the mountains (perhaps in summer of 2011?).
