Pinnacle Viewpoint at Point Lobos
Point Lobos State Reserve California

North and South Points are exposed rocky ridgetops on the Cypress Grove trail that afford spectacular views of the cliffs and offshore rocks including one known as the Pinnacle. Two species of cormorants can be seen nesting on the rocks here.

High humidity allows rust-colored algae to grow on exposed cypress branches facing the foggy wind blast.
