Pfeiffer Beach
on the Big Sur coast, Los Padres National Forest California

Popular despite being hard to find, Pfeiffer Beach is a Big Sur icon. There are two rugged rocks in the surf zone, one of them with a tunnel through which the waves crash. The next beach north, past a potentially dangerous rocky point, is clothing-optional.
